Oh gum trees! How I love you! I am forever taking photos of gum bark, but often on my phone, in fleeting moments.

This collection is made up of three images of magnificent River Red Gums in and around Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, and the other three are of our Lemon-scented Gum out the front of our little yellow cottage on Mount Henry, the farm where we live in Mulgoa, Western Sydney - at the base of the Blue Mountains.

Gums will be an ongoing feature of Big Sky Art. But here are the first five!
