OUR PROCESS
IMAGES
All images in the Big Sky Art collections are captured by me, Gemma! Hello! Every now and then there's a cameo collection, or image, from my fabulous (extremely talented - no I'm not at all biased!) husband, Henry.
One of the things we have in common is a love of being in, and surrounded by, nature. Even though we experience it quite differently, we both draw a lot of energy and calm from being 'in the wild'.
I tend to wander around focusing on the light, shade, shadows, textures, patterns etc etc of everything around me, while Hen, as one of Australia's leading field ecologists by trade, has his eyes and ears out identifying and clocking every living thing. I love (and am constantly baffled by) his encyclopaedic knowledge, and I've learnt SO much from him over the past decade. Henry has also slowly started taking photos of feathers, light through the leaves and rock textures!
Every image in the Big Sky Art range is captured during a time of feeling the lightness and calmness of being outside and close to the sea, land - or salt lake! We hope this comes across in every work.
