Low tide
The stars aligned to give me this magic evening on Killiecrankie beach, Flinders Island.
Flinders Island is a spectacularly wild and rugged beauty in the Bass Strait, north-east of Tasmania. It's one of 52 Islands in what's known as the Furneaux Group dotted across this area of ocean.
I was there directing and producing a short documentary about the significance of Mutton-birds, or Moonbirds, in local indigenous culture. It was a dream job, in a dream location.
We were staying at this remote beach, and I made sure I got up each morning, and out each evening when we were back, to wander along this shoreline and take in all its magnificence.
